lessons & classes in washington (dupont circle), dc - throughout life, i've been fortunate to learn
from the most amazing teachers. they were invested in my learning process, they knew what they knew,
& never proclaimed to know more than that! some i met in traditional academic settings and others
were people who simply cared about me. as a result, i've come to value the importance of learning
and how to help facilitate that process for others. every learner has strengths and every learner
has areas of growth as do all of us. teaching is a reciprocal experience and should be treated as
such. i utilize a strengths-based, individualized approach with all of my students. in my work as a
mental health counselor, i get to teach children & families new ways of being in the world. as a
practicum site supervisor, i have been fortunate enough to foster clinical knowledge in graduate
counseling and social work students from argosy university, amridge, and the university of alabama....
